Rep. Adam Schiff, the lead House manager, argued in the Senate impeachment trial on Jan. 24 that President Donald Trump abused his office and that, if he is not removed from office, “the nation remains at risk.” Schiff spoke on the third day House Democrats appeared on the Senate floor to make the case for Trump’s removal. The White House will present its arguments on subsequent days. The House of Representatives impeached the president in December on two articles -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The trial will determine whether Trump is convicted of two articles of impeachment and removed from office or whether he is acquitted.
