This is a mash of jobs before christmas, but the IR stuff comes in the second half where I talk through what had the effect of dramatically improving dire IR readings though I didn't explain it too well. I went into junction boxes and disconnected everything, after which I only re connected wires I understood the use of. One junction box in a the roof void was contaminated with brick dust, not of the driest sort so it was blasted with compressed air too. If something still didn't work at the end of it, I found out what I'd missed and connected that too. It was a random desperate last attempt but somewhere along the line after the others prayed over the light switches. Whatever was causing the faults got left out of the final connections by chance rather than by design.
