DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual: Thermal Imaging Tips & Tricks

DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual: Thermal Imaging Tips & Tricks In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew demonstrates the thermal imaging capabilities of the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual drone, incorporating a FLIR Lepton camera core. The video begins by exploring the capabilities and limitations of the thermal imaging camera's 160x120 pixel resolution, which incorporates five color palettes. The image can be enhanced using FLIR's patented MSX technology, which uses the imagery from the drone's 4K and 12 megapixel visible light camera to detect edges and superimpose them on the thermal image. The drone incorporates a radiometric thermal camera, meaning it can deliver accurate temperature readings at a distance, without physical contact. Temperature can either be measured at a specific spot within the camera's field of view, or over a user-defined area – while highlighting the highest and lowest temperatures within that area. The video also describes the Flat-Field Correction (FFC) process, and how the pilot can trigger a FFC using the DJI app.
