Sadguru Nannagaru gives an instance of ideal devotees Some devotees from Bhimavaram visited me recently who are involved in the business of cooking and serving food in the hostels. I asked them: 'How is life? Hope you are able to meet your basic needs'. They replied: 'We are getting our salaries. There is no shortage of either food or clothes. Why should you bother about these trivial things? Please grant us sadbuddhi (good thinking faculty). We came to you to secure your Grace. So why should we bother you about our salaries? There is no shortage of either food or clothes. But this doesn't mean that we are millionaires. The reason for our arrival here is to secure sadbuddhi through your Grace. Whether we are able to meet our basic needs or not is not your problem. Please grant us sadbuddhi which will show us the path towards liberation. We will be able to tread the path that will lead us towards God's feet. Unlike other devotees, we may not be able to offer fruits, flowers etc at God's feet and conduct pujas in a grand manner. Still bless us that we have devotion towards God's feet and have firm faith in His Existence. We should reach a state where there is no rebirth. We are narrating about our circumstances. Why should we bother about the world? We want Self Realization ie Atma Jnana. We want firm faith in God's existence. Our faith should not be waivered by the words of a roadside fellow. Please grant us a pure, calm and steady mind. We will then not expect any external things from you. We will make effort for securing that which is the very purpose of human life. So bless us not with wealth but with sadbuddhi. Is there an end to the craving for money? So bless us with that for which we came here.
