With an aim to discuss the way forward on the prevailing situation of anti-CAA movement in the state, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma held a crucial meeting with COMSO chairperson Robert Kharjarin. Addressing the media persons, Robert Kharjarin stated that Conrad Sangma had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the implementation of ILP and the meet between the two sparked positivity.
He informed that Chief Minister Sangma assured the people of a special Assembly session scheduled to be on 19th December wherein a small resolution is expected to be passed.
Kharjarin welcomed the positive step taken by the state government and is hopeful to have Inner Line Permit in the state soon.
