Where is an Excavator Fuel Filter Located? John Deere 35G Example

Where is an Excavator Fuel Filter Located? John Deere 35G Example In this example we are using a John Deere 35G excavator to show where the fuel filter is located. On a John Deere 35, the fuel filter is located under the hood. The fuel filter spins onto the system and can spin off when it needs to be cleaned or replaced.

The fuel filter on heavy equipment is used to filter out any contaminants from your fuel before the fuel enters the engine. Without a fuel filter, you will do catastrophic damage to your engine. Fuel filters will look similar on all brands of heavy equipment such as CAT, Kubota, Volvo, JCB, and others.
