US President Donald Trump spoke to journalists regarding his potential opponents in Washington DC on Thursday, as the hopefuls of the Democratic primaries were debating in Houston, Texas.

The president spoke about how he was going to miss the Democrat candidates’ debate due to being in Baltimore, but made clear former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren or Senator Bernie Sanders were the three he regarded as most likely to face him.

When asked if he respected any of the Democrat candidates, he said he respected all of them.

“I respect every one. Let me tell you, it takes a lot of courage to run for office. I respect all of them. See that? I'm getting to be much better as a politician. You never thought you'd hear that answer," Trump joked.
