Baby Beans Pops In For A Visit

Rescued the night before by Rachael after being found on the ground clinging to a dead mum, baby Beans is an orphaned Brushtail possum.
Although neither Rachael or I care for possums, Rachael has a permit that allows her to rescue and provide short term care for other species.
Just like flying-foxes, possums quite often get electrocuted on over head power lines when they touch two lines and create a circuit.
And just like flying-foxes, most of the orphans survive the electrocution of their mother.
Now in care with an experienced possum carer, baby Beans has a bright future ahead.
