What's up, HorrorFam? Today, I invite you along as I check out some of the most brutal death scenes ever in horror movies. This isn't meant to be a definitive list of the best of the best or anything like that. Instead, I tried my best to pick a variety of death scenes from horror films that are both new and old. That way, we have something for fans of the classics and something for fans of the new school.
Death Proof features one of the best car crash scenes ever caught on film. Trust me, if you want something brutal, you won't be disappointed with this one.
Deadly Friend is a lesser-known Wes Craven film featuring a lady who gets a basketball thrown at her head, which kills her in brutal fashion. No, I'm not kidding.
City of the Living Dead, brought to us by legendary Italian filmmaker, Lucio Fulci, features a particularly nasty death scene of a woman who pukes her own guts up. Yikes!
Scanners has one of the most infamous horror movie death scenes in which a man's head explodes. Good show, David Cronenberg!
We've also included a scene from Wes Craven's classic horror film: A Nightmare on Elm Street, which features a young Johnny Depp in a scene that set the record for most blood ever used in a film. Let me tell you, kiddos, Freddy Krueger isn't playing around in this one.
