How do we read a whole number, however large? Knowing place values as well as knowing how the periods of a number are ordered, enables us to read and write whole numbers correctly.
This video can be used by students to independently practice reading large numbers and teachers can use this as a review before introducing new topic for the day.
An explanation on how to read large numbers and an example were given followed by a series of practice exercises. A timer was set so you must read the number as soon as possible before the time is up or you can pause the video, read the number then check the answer.
