Joanne is 26 and loves nothing more than hanging out with her family and friends, but there's a shadow over her life that isolates her from most people. For 24 years, she's lived mostly on bread. Unless Joanne mends her ways, she's at risk of serious health problems.

This series gets to the heart of people’s disordered and extreme eating habits. Each programme features a person with a bizarre and extreme eating problem, so out of control that food has taken over normal life. Viewers can see how the individuals change as they overcome their phobias, face their food demons and work out the reason for their odd eating habits.
