The evidence required for predicting another magnetopause-collapse event comes from Space Weather News and the Moon position relative to the Earth and Sun:
Space Weather News for May 14, 2019
MULTIPLE CMEs ARE APPROACHING EARTH: NOAA forecasters say there is a 55% to 60% chance of geomagnetic storms on May 15th and 16th when a series of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) could hit Earth's magnetic field. Storm levels are expected to range between category G1 and G2. This means auroras could be sighted in northern-tier US states such as Montana, Minnesota, and upstate New York. Visit Spaceweather.com for the full story.
High-speed subatomic-particle flows (high-speed solar streams) energize the Moon’s very-weak magnetosphere (info) allowing the Moon to redirect the energy into Earth magnetosphere creating eddy formations. The Moon itself becomes the rock in the stream redirecting the solar-energy flows into Earth magnetosphere causing many people to believe a true reversal event is taking place, when in reality this phenomenon has been documented in recent history.
