"My God Is Not Going To Like You is about the role that tribalism plays in our lives, and how it creates the antagonistic attitude of “you’re either with us or against us”, as well as the consequences for anyone who tries to assert their individualism or critical thinking. The tribe that we follow is of a small voodoo cult in a dark forest, as a priest and his three female disciples conduct a small ceremony followed by a celebratory feast. We see this all from the point of view of one of the women who’s doubts begin to take form as grotesque visions. When she finally tries to escape the nightmare, she is chased down and forcibly brought back into the fold.
The clip plays with the juxtaposition of aristocratic order and religious ritual, with the menacing indifference of nature. Everything will be shot in black & white to reflect the dichotomy of the characters beliefs." - John Maloney, Director
