This week is international coaching week - so what does it mean to be an international coach? I haven't always been a professional coach, in fact this is a career change I made when I left my high profile, successful corporate career 2 years ago. I spent 30 years climbing the corporate ladder and learning how to be successful and how to drive change in some of the toughest working environments.
As a global CMO I have managed big budgets and teams, fought to secure resources, driven significant change programmes and launched big brands. I've also juggled career and family with my greatest joy being with my 3 children and 1 grandchild and forging a happy 20 year marriage with my husband Martin.
Amongst everything I've done professionally, my greatest passion has always been developing people - to help them recognise and unlock their full potential. I got to do more and more of this as I became more senior in my role, and this shone a light for me on what my next career move should be - to become a professional coach.
Now I specialise in helping women who are in similar situations to the ones I have experienced. I help them get clear on what they want professionally and personally and then drive the change in their lives to achieve it. Whether it's achieving more success at work, less sacrifice in their personal lives, or a substantial change in their career, I can help.
