People often fall into the trap of thinking their idea is better than it really is. They go to a place where they are so invested in the idea and protecting that idea, that they never get around to actually executing it in a meaningful way. Your idea is only as good as it can be executed. Most ideas can be easily replicated by your competitors so the speed of execution is a much better strategy to focus on.
