For any copyright, please send me a message. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and his wife Rosie Leslie are kicking off 2020 by splashing out £1million on a makeover for their mansion. The 33-year-old, who played Jon Snow for all eight seasons of the HBO fantasy series, owns the property with Rosie who played his love interest Ygritte on the show. Kit and Rosie live in a stunning Grade II listed Tudor mansion which is worth £1.75m, which they bought last year after marrying in 2018. It boasts swimming pool, stables, a tennis court, banqueting hall, eight acres of land, a pavilion and a croquet lawn. However, despite the luxuries, the couple have now submitted plans for even more renovations. A design and access statement, sent to their local council, insisted that a new heating systems "needs to be installed". It detailed how the pair have stated that it needs a new boiler, radiators, and pipes and oil tanks in the garden. In the document it also stated: "Since their purchase at the end of last year the new owners, Mr and Mrs Harrington, have been undertaking internal redecoration and minor repairs as a first phase project. "Appropriate repairs to address the previous unauthorised repairs and other works to the timber frame that will address issues of damp and the previous use of inappropriate materials." Kit previously spoke about how he loves his mansion in Suffolk and "loves" living in the county. During a BBC interview, he said: "I was looking all over for a place. I looked in many different areas of the country. "I was actually looking in Norfolk and then I kept driving through Suffolk and thinking, 'I really quite like this county'. "So I found my own little spot in the county of Suffolk and I'm now a Suffolk boy. I love it. It is really special to me."
