No, this experiment is not yet finished! After “truing” and making darts from the initial dots, the pattern pieces got their shape. But to check the perfect shape and to create a proper fit, you simply have to pin all the pieces together. It is the only way to evaluate the experiment and to decide if it needs alterations. In the whole process you might need to pin and re-pin the mock-up after adjusting several times. The ultimate goal is to make a beautiful and historical accurate faltenkleid.
