Inexpensive Solar Blanket Performance

Inexpensive Solar Blanket Performance Camping 4wd

Solar blanket (not sure how long they will have this price/Product)

HI all,

I decided to try an inexpensive solar blanket. Rather than get one off Ebay, I decided to get it from a small business down the road called Camping 4WD. Why? Because if it was rubbish I could eyeball the guy across the counter when I took it back..

That's the thing, these guys have Ebay prices, but are local, and they have a shop, so they cant get away.. without a lot of trouble at least. Secondly they have some good products. They have from the top brands (at a really good price) to the cheap stuff if that's all you need. And they seem to say it like it is. If they product performs like its price, they tell you, they dont try and make out like it does any more.

I have no affiliation with these guys, but I have bought a bit of stuff over the years, and have always got the products and performance I expected. This solar blanket was no different. The guy at the counter said it would perform well, maybe not up there with the $1000+ priced products, but it would hold its own. And for $200 AUD, it did just that. It performed better than I expected. Its downside is it doesn't perform well in shadow or dabbled light. It needs full light.. But its $200.. I can live with managing that.

If you are in Perth, or want to order online take a look at

Credit where is due. These guys are enabling a whole lot of people be able experience the outdoors, camping and exploring, who cant afford to, or dont want to spend many 1000's to do so..
