HIGHLIGHTS | Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Arsenal Women | Little & Miedema secure victory

HIGHLIGHTS | Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Arsenal Women | Little & Miedema secure victory We claimed the north London bragging rights thanks to Kim Little and Vivianne Miedema’s second-half strikes against Tottenham on Sunday.

This was our first ever top-flight meeting with our rivals and it was played in front of a record crowd of 38,262 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Chances were few and far between during the opening exchanges but Beth Mead came close when she won back possession, drove into the box and curled an effort wide of the far post.

Moments later, the hosts should have been ahead when Kit Graham saw her shot well saved by Manuela Zinsberger, who was quick off her line.

With 15 minutes remaining of the firs -half, Graham came close again when her powerful effort from the edge of the area flew just past the post before Miedema struck the bar with a thunderous first-time effort.

We started the second half strongly and came close again through the Dutch international when she saw her powerful effort fly just wide before Jen Beattie rose highest at a corner, but directed her effort over the bar.

Our pressure paid off in the 66th minute when Little weaved through two players on the edge of the area before firing home a fierce effort.

Miedema then sealed the points with less than 10 minutes remaining when she pounced on an underhit backpass, rounded Rebecca Spencer and sent the 3,000 travelling fans into ecstasy by firing home.
