CORONA - On Monday evening, September 16, 2019, Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire and the City of Corona Fire Department responded to reports of a fire on a hillside near the community of Home Gardens. The fire was reported around 7:41pm on Indiana Avenue at Brotherton Street. The first arriving engine company reported 1/2 an acre burning in light, flashy fuels with a slow rate of spread. The fire was burning on a hillside adjacent to several homes however, no structures were threatened. Firefighters made a quick and aggressive fire attack and were able to contain the blaze to under 5 acres. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
