Pro-Kurdish demonstrate in Cologne against Turkish military operation

Pro-Kurdish protesters are assembling in Cologne on Saturday, October 19, to show “Solidarity for Rojava” and protest against Turkey’s military operation in northern Syria.

Turkey started the operation on Wednesday, October 9, following US President Donald Trump‘s announcement that US troops would pull back from the area.

Protesters are calling for a national mobilisation against Turkey and demand an immediate ceasefire.
