Economy in recession? Several firms lay off staff

Kenyans have raised concerns over the state of the economy even as experts say the country risks  slipping in economic recession if the  extreme cost of living , unsustainable debt and reduced consumer spending  is not addressed.
Over the last few months, over six companies have announced laid off their staff compounding the worsening unemployment crisis in the country with betting firm Sportpesa being the latest to declare over 400 employees redundant.
