Driving the SWR Simulator in Bad Weather Conditions

Driving the SWR Simulator in Bad Weather Conditions Autumn is here and winter is approaching, meaning some challenging weather conditions are coming, including the dreaded 'leaves on the line' on the railways.

South Westerm Railway invited me to the Rail Operation Centre in Basingstoke to have a look at one of the simultators where they put drivers through difficult conditions on purpose to help them driver better in conditions with lower adhesion.

I also got a sneaky peek at their internal track training area that they have there as well.

Thanks to Steve Wardle and and Gary Sayers who's combined 65 years of experience of driving in all conditions gave me so many stories it was impossible to get them all in on this video! And to Joe Dainton from Network Rail too.
