Everyone loves a good Disney cartoon. They feature legendary characters that range from classics Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto to princesses like Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, and Elsa. While everyone knows the names of those characters, few know the names of the people who brought them to life.
Voice actors are some of the most under-appreciated actors working in Hollywood. They contribute performances that bring movies billions of dollars but rarely get what they deserve. In order to be a Disney voice actor there are all sorts of formal and informal rules that one has to follow.
Sometimes there are incredibly harsh clauses in one’s contract, other times they get low wages, and they often don’t get any credit at all. You might think that this just applies to the non-celebrity actors but that’s not true. Even actors like Robin Williams and Josh Gad have gotten relatively overlooked by the mouse house.
