This video goes over the entire process I use for glittering a tumbler using the Tack – It method. Here are the steps -
1. Apply spray paint to your tumbler – close to the same color as your Holographic glitter
2. Make your The Tack – It mixture, which is 1 part water mixed with 1 part Tack – It
3. Allow your tumbler to dry at least 30 minutes before applying the Tack – It mixture.
4. Use a Mod – Podge brush so you get light even coverage.
5. Allow the mixture to disappear on your tumbler before adding your glitter. This takes about 5 to 6 minutes.
6. Add your holographic glitter – I use a Dixie cup with holes in the bottom.
7. Once your tumbler is covered in your holographic glitter, lightly rub your tumbler so that you knock off the glitter but laying the bottom layer down. Be sure to take off any rings or bracelets so you do not scratch the tumbler.
8. After you have removed the glitter, you will need to spray seal it before adding your waterslide or decal.
