Latinx history is everywhere at ASU | Arizona State University Latinx history and culture can be seen everywhere at Arizona State University; one just has to know where to look.

Emeritus professor Christine Marin takes us on a walking tour of Latinx historical points of interest on ASU's Tempe campus, including the MEChA mural in the east entry of the Memorial Union, which depicts more than 500 years of Mexican/Chicano history, featuring the Classic Era of Indian Mexico, the Aztec Stone of the Fifth Sun and iconic figures such as Emiliano Zapata and Cesar Chavez. It is said that when Cesar Chavez made his first visit to the ASU campus, he met with the MEChA students and participated in the painting of the mural.
