Richards Bay CBD brought to a standstill

Angry residents in Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal have brought the CBD to a standstill.

They've blockaded a road leading into the town with trucks and burning tyres.

Tensions first began a few weeks ago, when residents and taxi operators assaulted whoonga users, accusing them of petty crimes.
