Nagpur (Maharashtra), Jul 19 (ANI): As scorching heat has hit the parts of the country, water level has gone down at several places leading to drought-like situation. Maharashtra’s Nagpur is now suffering with water crisis as water level of Navegaon Khairi Dam and Gorewada Lake has gone down. Orange City Water Works Ltd, which supplies water in Nagpur, has decided to not supply water on Friday and Sunday this week. While talking about the same, PRO at Orange City Water Pvt Ltd Sachin Dravekar said, “Due to less rainfall, water level of Navegaon Khairi Dam and Gorewada Lake, which give water to Nagpur, has gone down. So it has been decided that water won't be supplied on Friday and Sunday this week”. He further added, “There will be a meeting of Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water Works on Monday where further discussion as to how to tackle the situation will be done, it'll be decided if this system is to be followed in the coming weeks too”.
