Last Building Standing: Historic J.I. Case & Rock Island Plow Factory

Last Building Standing: Historic J.I. Case & Rock Island Plow Factory This building we captured with our drone is all that remains of a once thriving factory that started life in 1856 and was closed in 1987. Known best as part of the Rock Island Plow and J.I. Case factory(2 of the companies that operated here over among others) this huge building was not demolished along with the rest of the complex due to the extremely strong super structure supporting it that along with its size made it's demolition an outrageously expensive job.
Stripped and bare this huge testament to the industrial revolution and agricultural mechanization stands resolute along the Mississippi River in Rock Island Illinois.
Even though it is unused there are no solid plans for the building's demolition at this time.
