Delhi: Schools to open today after extension of summer vacation

The Delhi government extended the summer vacation for students upto Class 8 due to hot weather. Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia said that schools will reopen on July 8 for these students, classes will start for senior classes as per earlier schedule. "We care about the health of all our students as well as our teachers," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the onset of the monsoon in Delhi on July 3 after a delay of four days.
