The national government has set aside sh173bn to revamp the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions for the next five years.
The funds will cater for the expansion of facilities in the TVETs to meet the increasing numbers of students.
Speaking to during Kenya Association of Technical Training Institution (KATTI) capacity building at Ciala Resort on Tuesday, the Director of TVET Meshark Opwaro said part of the funds will be used for the capitation of the students as well as offer scholarships in the TVET system.
