This one is one of my favorite prompted speedpaints so far. I had a lot of trouble at the beginning, but I absolutely love the end product! My mandatory prompt was “Soda Pop” and my optional prompt was “Outsider”. So now we have this! I don’t have a real name for her yet, but she’s an amateur superhero and her alias is “Soda Pop”, like the prompt! I’m just going to dump her backstory here a sec. When she was little, Soda Pop discovered her power, which allowed her to control small but powerful explosions on or near her body. She wasn’t impervious to her own explosions, however, and hurt herself and others sometimes. She was mentored by Princeley, an already-established crimefighter. Princeley helped Soda Pop to see how she could control and eventually put her powers to good use alongside Princeley in bad situations. Princeley was the best thing ever to happen to Soda Pop, but one day they were confronted by a member of a society whose ultimate goal is to rid the world of super powered people like Princeley and Soda Pop. Princeley was shot and killed, while Soda Pop attempted to stop the attacker, who eventually got away before police arrived. Soda Pop never forgets this incident and uses it as a drive to continue in Princeley’s footsteps. There’s more to the story, but there you go! Definitely going to add Soda Pop to the official OC roster of mine. I hope you enjoy!
