Combating malaria in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Combating malaria in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC): Can gene drives help the DRC to achieve malaria elimination by 2030? This is what ZEF junior researcher Nawaphan Metchanun asked in her research - with astonishing results. Her work has now been awarded the third prize of "Wellcome Trust’s Data Re-Use Prize: Malaria", in collaboration with The Malaria Atlas Project and with support from Sage Bionetworks.
