Is it Funk? Or only "Funky?" (Make It Up on a Monday #4)

Is it Funk? Or only We try to define the difference between "Funk" (a genre) and "Funky" (an attribute of something musical). We'll talk about what makes Funk Funk, and breakdown a short 8-bar groove which contains many of the most common elements of the funk genre. Then we'll run through a list of some good funk tunes to check out for more background.
