Our beehives are growing so we need to add some more room to the hives & so we are going to install some honey supers or mediums to the beehives today. That means we have to put together some beehive frames, & I like to use the plastic beehive frame foundations. Just mainly bc it is so easy & since we are beekeeping rookies, we do not have to worry about installing them properly & can focus on other beehive chores, but before we install the plastic hibe foundations, we need to add a thin coating of beeswax to them. This will entice the bees to start drawing out honeycomb or brood comb on the foundations. Otherwise, it may take them longer to work the foundations bc it seem too unnatural to the worker bees.
