I happened to work for Quick Electric Industrial Company Limited, Sharjah, UAE for the longest phase of my life. And I can tell you without a doubt - it was one of the strangest experiences in my life. The reason I state strange is because the owner was absolutely good to me, he was kind, he paid my salary on time, he treated me well and he took care of me. In fact, about the Salary - well guess what - I got paid for nothing. Seriously nothing. I hardly did any work. But he wanted me to work with him in his company because he believed one day I would 'maybe' take over the company from his shoulders. Sadly that never happened. Instead what eventually happened was that I lost interest and realized I had to move on to follow my true calling. So my honeymoon phase with Quick Electric was finally over. Over here I can say that I did contribute a few things to the company where marketing & building the brand image of the company was concerned. You need to understand this was much before I even knew what Branding or Personal Branding was all about. Today however, being the best in the business and the industry and given that I have dedicated nearly 10 years of my life understanding Personal & Business Branding - I do have the expertise to speak about Business & Personal Branding. Which is where I couldn't help but give my opinion about the Business Branding Strategy of Quick Electric - the company based in UAE - the last really corporate company I worked for.
